Are you in the process of planning a bachelor party for your buddy who is getting married soon?
If so, you might be thinking about going the cliche route and hiring a bunch of strippers to attend the party. You might even be considering spending an entire night at a strip club before sending your friend down the aisle.
While there are plenty of guys who still incorporate strippers into their bachelor parties, you should know that you don’t have to do it. There are lots of great bachelor party ideas for those who don’t want to have strippers involved at all.
Here are 10 bachelor party ideas that don’t include strippers.
1. Enjoy the Great Outdoors While Hunting, Fishing, or Camping
If you’re throwing a bachelor party for someone who loves spending time outside, consider going hunting, fishing, or even camping for a few days.
There are more and more men who are opting to do this as opposed to hitting up the club scene. You’ll be able to throw back a few beers and bond with your best buds while appreciating nature.
You also won’t have to spend a fortune to hunt, fish, or camp. It’ll be a trip you’ll never forget.
2. Play a Few Rounds of Golf at a Famous Course
Does the groom love to golf? Chances are, he’s not going to get to spend as much time golfing as he might like once he ties the knot.
Let him make the most of his final days as a single man by taking him to one of the top golf courses in the country. You might want to consider going to:
- Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia
- Pebble Beach in Pebble Beach, California
- National Golf Links of America in Southampton, New York
- Pinehurst in Pinehurst, North Carolina
- Winged Foot (West) in Mamaroneck, New York
You can also just golf at whatever course is closest to you. The groom will have a blast and won’t want the fun to end.
3. Sit Courtside at an NBA Game
Sitting front and center at an NBA game isn’t usually cheap, which is why so many guys don’t get the chance to do it. If you’ve always wanted to sit courtside at a game, a bachelor party will give you the perfect excuse to buy tickets.
If possible, try to see one of the top teams play, like the Golden State Warriors or Los Angeles Lakers. You might even want to think about attending a playoff game to make it even more fun than it’ll already be.
4. Spend an Entire Weekend Playing Video Games
Is the groom a total Call of Duty fiend? Then he probably wouldn’t mind at all if you turned his bachelor party into a gaming marathon.
Rent a hotel room or, better yet, a whole house with lots of TVs in it and game as much as your little hearts desire. It’ll be amazing to spend 48 hours (or longer!) playing COD and more without having anyone nagging you about it.
5. Rent a House by the Beach
Speaking of renting a house, one of the other great bachelor party ideas you might want to consider is renting a house by the beach for a few days.
You can go to the beach during the day and either unwind at your beach house at night or take in the local nightlife of the beach town you’re visiting. It’ll be the perfect way to relax and have a good time during a bachelor party.
6. Arrange a Wine or Whiskey Tasting
How often do you get to sip on wine or whiskey that costs as much as some cars do? It’s a rare treat that’s reserved for those celebrating special occasions like bachelor parties.
Find a wine or whiskey bar in your area and see if you can arrange an exclusive tasting for the groom. To make things even better, follow it up with a trip to a cigar bar where the groom can puff away on a cigar that’s almost as expensive as the wine or whiskey he tasted.
7. Ride Dirt Bikes or ATVs Around for a Couple Days
If the wedding planning process has gotten the better of the groom, let him blow off some steam by getting behind the wheel of a dirt bike or ATV.
You and all of your friends can rent dirt bikes or ATVs and explore an area you’ve never been before. Who knows? It could turn into a fun hobby that you all enjoy well after the bachelor party ends.
8. Play a Bunch of Games of Paintball
This is another bachelor party idea to file in the “Let’s blow off some steam!” category.
If the groom could use a shot of adrenaline as he inches closer to his big day, nothing will provide it quite like a few rounds of paintball. Rent out an entire paintball field and invite everyone you know to take part in an epic paintball match.
9. Set Up a Huge Poker Tournament
Lots of bachelor parties take place in and around casinos. Guys tend to congregate in places like Las Vegas and Atlantic City when it comes time to hold a bachelor party.
But you don’t have to travel to hold a gambling-themed bachelor party. Set one up right in your basement by inviting a bunch of guys over for a huge poker tournament. The more, the merrier!
10. Go Skydiving
Before the groom takes the plunge into marriage, encourage him to take a plunge out of an airplane.
It’ll give him one last thrill before he gets married. And unlike a bachelor party with strippers, it won’t land him in the doghouse on his big day.
